When the fight between Nathan Bendon and Nico Carillo was announced it created a real buzz in the UK Muay Thai scene. The last time I think we had an big domestic fight like this was when Liam Harrison and Charlie Peters faced off at the 02.

I personally think Nathan Bendon comes it as a heavy favourite, his performances on Dragons and on the last Super Showdown show have been clinical. He is extremely strong for his weight and the speed and power he brings to his Muay Thai fights are phenomenal.

Does that mean Nico Carillo has no chance. I think not, Nico seems to always come in as an underdog and he has consistently delivered. He was fancied against Mo Abdurahman but got the win, he wasn’t fancied against Jack Kennedy and got the win.

He seems to improve every fight. I interviewed him after his fight with Mo Abdurahman and got an insight into how he thinks. He changes up his game every fight and the way he adapts to his opponents is remarkable.

I know his coach has analysed Nathan Bendon and will come with a plan to cause an upset.

For me what makes fights so interesting is the questions that get asked. Nathan Bendon is the strongest opponent Nico Carillo has faced. Nico has been in a fights where he has been caught and had gotten himself into difficult situations. He has always found a way out but against someone like Nathan he will punish every opportunity he gets.

On the flip side to that, Nico has gone in against some real tough guys and he seemed to get stronger and more relaxed as the fight goes on. He has always managed to adapt in a fight and take control, if the fight goes beyond 2 rounds does it play in the hands of Nico Carillo.

Either way it’s going to be an epic fight.

Write down the date, 25th June, either get down for the show or watch it on PPV. Hopefully in the near future we can bring this show onto our platform.

I am interested to know what you think? Does Nathan Bendon beat Nico Carillo or will we see an upset caused?

Let me know down below.

Sunday 5th June 2022 saw the return of Immortal Champions at the Clapham Grand. It was supposed to be head lined by Salah Khalifa but that fight couldn’t happen because of personal issues.

We still had a few big fights on there, Daniel Sam making his return to the ring and Elia Dewu going for a title.

So it was shaping up to be an awesome evening of Muay Thai and K1 action. Unfortunately two more fights fell through and the card had 6 fights. There was a fight added, I am not sure when it was Sam McWilliams Vs Tom Kirk.

I have watched Tom Kirk on Combat Fight Series and now he is such an exciting fighter to watch so was really glad he was on.

First fight was Farzana Shaukat Vs Leigh Hart. Both are relatively young in there fight careers but that didn’t stop them from putting on a really entertaining fight to start the show.

Both pushed the pace from the get go and we got 3 rounds of high energy action. I think it’s fair to say both fighters will be proud of there performances but still take away a lot of lessons for the, to work on. With women fighters struggling to get matched, having these two talented fighters working and improving is quite exciting.

Next up was Celia Jordan from SN Combat Academy Vs Izzy Wilkins (I never caught the name of her gym, drop it in the comments if you know it) I enjoyed this one two. I visited SN Combat Academy and watched Celia train, she is a real hard worker and dedicated. I wasn’t aware she was even on the card to be honest.

She has a nice style to her, kept good range but Izzy Wilkins was a tough girl. She moved good and closed the distance and kept scoring. I think it is fair to say it was a close fight.

We then had Jude Ike Vs Ching Mac. Jude was as cool as a cucumber, was dancing in the ring just absorbing the atmosphere. Ching Mac was the exact opposite, laser focused. It was a nice clash of styles with a lot of back and forth. Both fighters were clearly talented, seeing some of the moves they pulled off was a joy to watch.

Sam McWilliams Vs Tom Kirk for me was fight of the night. I didn’t know much about Sam McWilliams before the fight and Tom Kirk as I already mentioned I saw fight at Combat Fight Series but this was one of those K1 fights that I will remember for some time.

Both just came to fight, the most amazing part of the fight was how did they get to the end. Some of the shots landed would of stopped other fighters. I am genuinely excited to see what’s next for these two.

That fight got the crowd going and took is to our penultimate fight, Hadiqa Abdul Vs Elia Dewu. We interviewed Elia before this fight and it was clear how focused she was and how much she wanted to win this fight. Hadiqa started off really good but as the fight went on Elia’s relentless style really took a toll on Hadiqa.

We’ll have the footage up as soon as the promoter sends it to us, will love to here your opinions on this fight. I think a lot more eyes are in Elia Dewu now.

This took us to the end of the show and we got the big boys as the main event. Daniel Sam making his return, facing Marian Tuma. I have never seen Daniel Sam fight live, you know he will bring the power but how fast he moved was something to see. He was on Marian Tuma right from the start and never let off. After the fight he said he would defend the title so I am excited to see who would take him on. Maybe Rhys Brudenell??

Overall it was a good show, nice mixture of fights and styles. I think having some last minute drop outs really effected the numbers. The show deserved a a bigger crowd.

Still is was a really entertaining night. We can’t wait for the footage to come through and we will post it up for you as soon as it’s available to us.

The K1 Fight between Andy Turland and Solomon Lefleur is one of the most talked about fights on the coming Combat Fight Series show.

Solomon is coming off a brutal knockout win, while Andy is looking to get back to winning ways.

Andy is fighting on his home turf of Bournemouth, so there is definitely some extra pressure on him to win.

However, with both fighters being evenly matched, it is difficult to choose a winner. Some people are predicting that Solomon will come out on top, due to his recent success in the ring.

Others are backing Andy to win, as he is a experienced fighter who knows how to deal with pressure.

Ultimately, it is impossible to say who will win this fight, but one thing is for sure, it is going to be an exciting bout.

Who are you rooting for??
